1. Scope and accountability
This policy explains how SR Accountax, displayed as “SR AccounTax” on this website, collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information through sraccountax.ca and the Bank Statement Converter. SR Accountax is located at 41 Dufay Road, Brampton, Ontario L7A 4A2, Canada, and applies the principles of Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and other applicable privacy laws.
2. Information collected
Enquiries. The public form collects the name, phone number, email address, requested service, preferred contact method, timing information and message that a visitor submits. The information is emailed to enquiry@sraccountax.ca so the enquiry can be reviewed and answered.
Tegh AI. Tegh processes the question entered and limited context about the public page being viewed, such as its path, title, heading and description. It does not transmit earlier Tegh messages with a new request and does not automatically read contact-form fields, calculator fields, uploaded documents or other browser content. A visitor who submits the separate Tegh enquiry form chooses to send those entered contact details to SR AccounTax by email.
Public calculators. When a visitor presses Calculate, the entered calculator assumptions are sent to the same-site deterministic PHP calculation endpoint so the browser and Tegh use one rules engine. Calculator inputs are not intentionally saved as calculator records, but normal server security and access logs may record technical request information such as date, IP address and endpoint.
Member accounts and billing. A Bank Statement Converter account may include a name, email address, password hash, email-verification status, Google sign-in identifier, subscription status and Stripe customer, checkout, invoice or subscription identifiers. SR AccounTax does not receive or store a complete payment-card number.
Technical and security records. Hosting and security systems may process an IP address, browser and device information, requested page, access time, login attempt, security event and basic server log data.
3. Do not submit sensitive records through the enquiry form
Do not enter a Social Insurance Number, tax slip, tax return, government identification, banking information, password, CRA credential or other confidential record in the public form. It does not accept file attachments. Appropriate document-delivery instructions are provided after an engagement is accepted.
4. Bank Statement Converter processing
The selected PDF, extracted statement text and transaction table are processed in the user’s browser and are not transmitted to or retained by SR AccounTax. Optional OCR also runs on the user’s device.
Separate, limited usage checks are sent to the server to enforce free, credit and subscription allowances. These checks may include the account identifier, access type, page count, conversion status and keyed one-way hashes of the network address, device identifier and PDF fingerprint. They do not include the PDF, account number, transaction descriptions or balances.
5. Tegh AI and calculator processing
Each submitted Tegh question and limited public-page context are sent first to the SR AccounTax server. When AI Online is available, the server sends that question and public-page context to OpenAI to produce a response or select an approved website action. Requests are submitted without payment-card data, account passwords, uploaded documents or calculator form values. When the AI service is unavailable or not configured, Tegh uses SR AccounTax’s local Guided Mode.
Calculator arithmetic is performed by deterministic SR AccounTax code using the assumptions entered by the visitor. Results are simplified estimates for general information and must be independently reviewed. Do not enter confidential or sensitive information in Tegh.
6. Cookies and local storage
The main information site does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Its contact form may use a necessary session cookie for security and abuse controls. The converter uses a necessary session cookie for sign-in and security and a signed device cookie for abuse controls. Pro users may choose to save non-sensitive converter preferences in browser local storage under srtools.converter.preferences; account and bank identifiers are excluded. Local preferences remain on that device until the user clears them. Cloudflare Turnstile, Google sign-in and Stripe may set or read their own necessary cookies when those features are used.
Advertising. SR AccounTax may advertise on Meta platforms, but this website and the converter do not currently contain a Meta Pixel, Conversions API event or advertising cookie. SR AccounTax does not send enquiry details, calculator inputs, converter activity, financial information or account information to Meta. Meta may process an ad view or click under its own terms before a visitor arrives on this website.
7. How information is used
Information is used to respond to enquiries, assess and deliver requested services, create and secure accounts, verify email addresses, provide converter access, enforce allowances, process and reconcile payments, prevent fraud or abuse, maintain business records and meet legal obligations. SR AccounTax does not sell personal information.
8. Service providers and cross-border processing
SR AccounTax uses service providers for website and email hosting, AI responses, payment processing, account sign-in and abuse prevention. OpenAI processes Tegh questions when AI Online is used; Stripe processes payments; Google supports optional sign-in; and Cloudflare may provide Turnstile security. These providers may process or store personal information in the United States and other jurisdictions, where it may be available to courts, law-enforcement or national-security authorities under local law. Their own privacy terms also apply to information they process.
9. Retention
General enquiries that do not become client engagements are kept only as long as reasonably needed to respond, manage follow-up and maintain basic business records. Client, account and billing records are retained for the applicable legal, tax, contractual, security and dispute-resolution periods. Free-conversion fingerprints and related abuse-control records may be kept for at least the applicable 90-day restriction and longer when reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, disputes or legal obligations. Device-local preferences remain until the user removes them.
10. Safeguards and privacy breaches
SR AccounTax uses administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. If a breach of security safeguards creates a real risk of significant harm, SR AccounTax will report it to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, notify affected individuals and keep the required breach records as PIPEDA requires.
11. Access, correction, deletion and consent
A person may ask what personal information SR AccounTax holds about them, request a correction, withdraw consent where applicable or ask whether information can be deleted. Identity may need to be verified before a request is completed. Legal, tax, security, fraud-prevention, contractual or dispute-related requirements may limit deletion or withdrawal.
12. External links
This website links to government, Google, Facebook, LinkedIn and other third-party pages. Those services operate under their own privacy terms and practices.
13. Privacy contact
Send privacy questions, access or correction requests, and complaints to the Privacy Officer, SR Accountax, 41 Dufay Road, Brampton, Ontario L7A 4A2, Canada, or email enquiry@sraccountax.ca. If a concern is not resolved, information about filing a complaint is available from the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
